When Daniel Lessing decided to steal millions from his company, he did not care that they would open a criminal complaint against him.

As soon as he realised he might face jail time, Lessing quickly hatched a plan to bribe his way out of trouble.

Apart from bags of cash, he bribed a Captain in the police and a Senior State Advocate, with a weekend hunting trip, which led to the corrupt pair driving home with a car laden with fresh bush meat, for their respective freezers.

Not being the sharpest knife in the drawer, Lessing again failed to factor in that O’Sullivan Brosnan & Associates, would unpack his crimes and bring him to book.

The audacity of Lessing, the dirty police officer and prosecutor left a trail of prima facie evidence, which has resulted in all three of them facing the music.
