Forensic consultant and criminologist Paul O’Sullivan says he believes police crime intelligence boss Maj-Gen Dumisani Khumalo and his co-accused knew they were about to face the law. Khumalo and five of his co-accused were granted R10 000 bail in their fraud and corruption case. O’Sullivan says he personally spoke to one of the accused about her promotion as far back as January. This, he says, was about her appointment to senior post despite zero police experience. He says the arrested officers need to be suspended immediately.
